Forty years ago, 11,345 striking Air Traffic Controllers faced down Ronald Reagan in one of the most dramatic moments in the history of American Workers. Their mass firings shifted the balance of power from unions to corporations, leading to today’s rampant inequality. Chicago’s The Kindling Group, in association with True Stories, has collected the largest assemblage of footage from this fateful strike and interviewed those most at the heart of what happened, to finally bring to life this incredible story with a coming-soon feature-length Documentary Film!

Check back for updates. Directed by Danny Alpert and co-director Ray Nowosielski, in 2020 the project received Rogovy Foundation’s Miller / Packan Documentary Film Fund Award and announced Academy Award-winner Adam McKay would join the team as Executive Producer.
